How do you do that? Well, there are lots of ways, but one of my favorite and most successful is using FREE Reports.
Why is this so powerful? Because people actually want FREE Reports, as opposed to free calendars, magnets and other useless trifles!
You see, when your attention-getting headline draws them into the advertising copy, but the copy ends with a boring close, or says, “Call our office for more information,” you’ve lost the prospect’s interest.
Why? Because to get that coveted “information,” they’d have to stop reading, find the phone, pick up the phone, go back to what they were reading for the phone number, dial it up and risk being trapped by a pushy salesperson. No way! Too scary!
Offering them a “FREE report,” however, magically removes those barriers to action because 1) it’s free, 2) it explains more about what piqued their curiosity in the first place, and 3) they don’t have to worry about some overzealous sales rep trying to close them (especially when you incorporate recorded messages with your advertising.)
