This is the most basic of hotlines and comes with one mailbox in which you leave a pre-recorded message. A customer dials the hotline number after seeing your advertising in a medium and automatically hears the recorded message on the product or service being offered. At the end of the message the caller has the option of leaving their information in the mailbox for later follow-up or they can press “0” to be connected to you or your office directly. This type of hotline is used if only one type of advertisement or advertisement source is going to be used.
Benefits of the Lead Generation Hotline
Although this system provides limited flexibility it does fill a market niche very well. It is geared towards small business owners or entrepreneurs in the development or building stages of their business. It provides pre-recorded messages to advertise and promote their business without having to deal with simple inquiries or the additional cost of staff to answer phones.

With this system a caller must input a 4-digit code to access the mailbox they want access to. This 4 digit code is placed into your advertising which stimulates the caller to get in touch with you. Once the code is entered the caller listens to the message and again is given the choice of leaving a message and/or e-mail address, telephone number, etc.
This type of Hotline is generally used in Non-Branded advertising because it does not have a great deal of flexibility. Due to the requirement to enter a 4 digit code to gain access to the information, this system is ideal when marketing multiple products or services over many advertising mediums.

With the Tree Hotline the first message the caller hears is a personalized Main Greeting. This introduces you and/or your company, gives options for the caller to connect to a live person, and then, using the 9 single digit mailboxes, provides access to free reports, products or services your company is providing. Also in the Main Greeting the caller is given the option to enter a 4 digit code to gain access to information promised in a particular add run by you.

Again, the benefits of this system include everything in the Multi-Lead Generation Hotline plus the ability to navigate throughout the system. They can dial “0”, they can press 1 digit to get a Free Report or then they can input 4 digits to gain access to get information on a particular advertisement. The first two Hotlines have what is referred to as Narrow Appeal.
The Tree Hotline has a Universal Offer, which means that a caller listens to a pre-recorded message about the product or service being offered, and then if the individual is not interested in that product or service, they are then presented with the ability to enter a different extension to gain additional information on other products or services they may be interested in. By being able to opt out of the current message and enter a different extension, it ensures that the persons contact information is collected. A report provided by the system then provides warm leads for the company to follow up on to further enhance the sales opportunity.
