Voice Broadcasting, When and How to Use It
Contrary to popular belief voice broadcasting has not gone the way of the dinosaur. In fact we are finding more and more people asking about it of late. With all the rules and regulations implemented over the past years many people can’t be bothered with voice broadcasting; but you could be missing out on an opportunity to keep your current and past customers engaged. Voice broadcasting is a great way to “stay in touch” and stay top of mind with your clients. It’s easy to get lost “in the new” but it’s not always practical to spend hours and hours calling people when you still need to be spending time bringing new prospects into your funnel. I’m sure you’ve heard it all before. It costs a lot more to get a new customer than it does to nurture and grow the ones you already have.
Voice broadcasting is an inexpensive and efficient way of reaching out and touching your customers quickly and efficiently and best of all in your voice. Here are some hints on how you can use voice broadcasting effectively with your base of clients:
- Send them a holiday greeting. There isn’t a nicer way to let someone know you’re still thinking of them than to send a message in your voice. An example of this would be: “Hi, this is Dr. Smith calling and I just wanted to wish you and your family a very safe and happy Thanksgiving and we hope to see you soon. By the way, we are closed for 4 days during the holiday season but as always if you have an emergency you can contact the emergency number at XXX-XXXX and we’ll be sure you get taken care of.”
- Remind them of their tune ups, regulars check ups etc. “Hi, this is Dr. Jones calling and I just wanted to remind you that you’re almost due for your 6 month dental check up and cleaning. Just give our receptionist a call and she’ll be happy to get you set up with an appointment that works for you. Hope to see you soon.”
- Let them know of a special you might be having. “Hi, this is Sharon Smith from Mrs. Mechanic and I’m calling to let you know that we’re having a special 20% off for all of our regular customers on a fall tune up and winter tire change. Hope you can make it in and take advantage of this offer. Give the shop a call and we’ll make sure we get you taken care of before the first snow flies.”
- You can use voice broadcasting as part of your event planning to invite your clients to a webinar, seminar, workshop or any special event you may be having. People get so many emails now that many have stopped looking at them unless they are from a family, friend or close business associate. Here’s an example: “Hi, this is Mike calling from AMS. I just wanted to make sure you got our email invitation yesterday on the Mobile Marketing workshop we will be holding on July 1st. If you didn’t receive this email, give our office a call at 1-800-858-8889 and we’ll be sure you get registered.”
