Q&A – Let Us Answer Your Questions
Question: If I am advertising in more than one publication can I use different ID #’s.
Answer: The answer to this is absolutely. In fact to track and test which sources are bringing you the most leads, each publication or medium should have a unique 4 digit ID number associated with it for the same campaign. In your hotline manager, you can name each one according to what paper or magazine your have advertised in.
Question: If someone calls and listens to my script but does not leave a message on my toll free recorded message hotline, should I call them back?
Answer: If someone calls your hotline but has not left a message, you will still have their number. This may not be as hot a lead as someone that leaves a message but they were interested enough to call and find out what your script was about. Call them back and let them know that you noticed they listened to your script and didn’t leave a message. Ask if they got the information they were looking for or if you can help them further.
Question: Can you put listing descriptions on an Information Hotline?
Answer: In theory yes, however there is a different purpose for each of the hotlines. The Information Line is used as an unbranded or less branded hotline. It has a generic main greeting that asks only for the 4 digit id number. It takes them to the script they are interested in hearing and they have the option of leaving a message. It does not identify who you are or your company. The USP Property Tree on the other hand is used as a branded line and this is where you would place your listings. Essentially the USP Property Tree acts in place of you. Once the caller has listened to your property description they have the ability to leave a message, be connected directly to you or go back to listen to one of your USP’s. On this line your main greeting identifies who you are.
